Blast from the Past dinner weekend! February 21, 2012

The weekend of the great fundraising dinner is nearly upon us.  Tickets have been given away and it looks like a full house (if there are more who want to come but don’t have tickets, give me a call.)

Here’s what you need to …know.

Wednesday: Any youth interested/involved in any of the performing parts of the show should meet at the church at 6.

Friday: All youth meet at the church around 4 to start the setting up and working.  We will have supper together, and work and play till later in the evening.

Saturday: We’ll plan to meet back at the church at 9:30 in the morning (unless things are ahead after friday night).  We’ll work on the prep/setup/practice most of the day, and be ready for the dinner at 5:30

Keep your eyes open for 70′s style clothes and hair to wear for the dinner.

retreat info January 20, 2012

Here’s what you need to know for the winter retreat.  If you have signed up, paid, and got your waiver signed…GREAT.  If you have not paid or got your slip in, DO IT NOW!  As you get set, here’s a few times to know.  Be at spmb by 5:30 on Friday the 27th.  For getting picked up, we’ll arrive back at the church by around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Also, if you havn’t heard yet, we’re excited to have Larry Reimer of YFC Altona as our speaker!

What to bring?

Bring sleeping stuff (sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas)  also tooth brushes/shampoo and a towel if you’re into that sort of thing…

Bring Clothes! don’t forget extra socks, and all your winter gear for playing outside (jackets, ski pants, boots, gloves, toques, long johns??)

Bring your Bible, pen, notebook, extra snacks if you want, slippers for in the dining hall (optional)

Don’t bring:  your electronics (except phones) aren’t allowed during the retreat. time to unplug!  Also don’t bring any of the usual stuff not allowed at youth (pets, drugs, weapons, etc)

Merry Christmas everyone! hope your holidays have been filled with the joy of God’s presence and great times. Youth starts up again January 11th with a unify event at SPMB. Take a look at the new schedules posted here on the website, and pick up a paper copy for on your fridge at the church (they are on the youth bulletin board).

Family movie night November 29, 2011

There is no jr high this week and sr high has small groups

YOUTH STARTS NOW! September 6, 2011

Well, it’s been a great summer, but it looks like school is knocking at our doors again. The good news is, YOUTHS STARTS NOW! This wednesdays is our kickoff night. We will be playing some baseball with families invited. Meet at the west diamonds in the Altona Park at 7:00.
